Print Making Art Workshops with Nancy McTague
By Bruce Museum

Three classes:

Wednesday, January 27, 2021 — 10:00am - 11:30am

Wednesday, February 3, 2021 — 10:00am - 11:30am

Each class will begin with a closer look at Mason’s work for inspiration, and then explore the physical process by which students will create their own work. Classes will include a quick review of the optimal set-up, materials, and tools students will be using, followed by a demonstration. By the end of each of the three classes in this series, participants will have created at least one final product and have gained skills and techniques for future endeavors. Students will receive a materials list, and all materials will be available at Jerry’s Artarama in Norwalk, CT, where students will receive a discount on class materials.

McTague-Stock is a practicing artist who works independently and collaboratively as an artist and educator. The recipient of numerous fellowships, residencies, and awards, she hones her vision in her Connecticut studio, creating environmentally focused work. Nancy teaches periodic workshops at the Silvermine Art Center and the Center for Contemporary Printmaking, grounding her teaching in process, so that no matter the background of a student, the class will offer a springboard for the ideation process as they begin to work.

The program will start at 10 am, and there will be ample time to share your work with the group and with Nancy. The Zoom information and link will be sent to all registrants via email two (2) hours before the above-stated program date and time. Please feel free to send technical issues or general questions to Corinne Flax at cflax@brucemuseum.org.
