Union Lodge No. 5 will be conferring a Fellowcraft degree at one of its earliest meeting places, the historic, Knapp’s Tavern. The degree will be performed in colonial attire appropriate to the time when Union Lodge held their meetings there back in the late 1700’s. When Union Lodge No. 5 received their charter back in 1763, it was to serve Stamford along with Horseneck, (now Greenwich) and parts adjacent in the colony of CT. Israel Knapp was not only a member of Union Lodge, but also the Master, and owned the Tavern which still stands today on the grounds of Putnam Cottage located in Greenwich, CT. Please join us for this nostalgic evening as we pass a Brother to the degree of Fellowcraft all while celebrating and paying homage to our local history!
Colonial attire encouraged!
