Gardening with Mary Jo Bridge: Create a Holiday Basket @ Byram Shubert Library at Community Room

Resident gardener Mary Jo Bridge will show us how to make simple and tasteful baskets using a host of evergreens.

Participants will take home their decorations.

Join us twice a month for a drop-in preschool playtime in the Children’s Room that encourages creativity and imaginative thinking as children explore, build, and learn.

STEAM learning happens naturally every day as children explore, play and try new things. At Fun Friday playtime, there are age-appropriate, educational items in an open play setting. 

When young children have the opportunity to investigate their world, they develop critical thinking and problem-solving skills they use in science, technology, engineering, art, and mathematics.

For ages 3-5.

Intro to 3D Printing @ Greenwich Library at The Jewel

Get creating and learn the basics of 3D printing, where to find free 3D printable designs, and how to use the 3D printer to prepare and print a model.After attending this class and passing the online test, Library cardholders will be able to reserve time to print projects using the library’s LulzBot Mini 3D printer.Ages 13+ are welcome to attend, ages 12 and under must be accompanied by an adult.

Kids Code an Ozobot with Ozoblockly (Grades 2-3) @ Greenwich Library at Children's Constellation Room

Happy Code Club presents an introduction to coding concepts using Ozobots and Ozoblockly, a fun way to compare the actions of robots to written code and to make changes for an expected purpose. Registration begins Monday, November 25th. Class limited to 16 children in grades 2 and 3. 

Kids Code is a series presented by Greenwich Library to give children the opportunity to learn coding, robotics and attend fun STEAM programs.

Toddler Exploration Time @ Greenwich Library at Rear of Children's Room

Join us for a drop-in fun open playtime for toddlers that encourages creativity and imagination while they develop their motor and critical thinking skills and use their senses to learn about their world. 

Young ones can explore blocks, sensory bins, and other items in an open play environment in the Children’s Room.

Code with Scratch Club @ Cos Cob Library at Community Room

Join Greenwich High School student Alexa Nakanishi to learn Scratch basics or get some help with an existing project. Scratch is a block-based coding program that allows kids to create their own games, animations, and more! 

No experience necessary. 

Open to all kids in Grades 3+.

Come join local knitters as they work on individual projects or projects for the community. Knitters of all levels are welcome. Experienced knitters are always available to help beginners. The group meets weekly.
