SCORE Fairfield County: Website Design for Small Businesses
How do you know if your website is successful? Speaker Jeff Seaver will lead a discussion around what makes a business website work and elements of a successful web presence including design, content, and usability. Explore options for your website including domain names, generating traffic from search, email, social media, referrals, and mobile responsiveness. The workshop will cover:The purpose of a website, website home page design, and usabilityTrends for 2020 in type, design, and colorTerminologies such as SEO, CRO, CTR, CTA, UX, and UIWordPress and Content Management SystemsDIY websites (like WIX and Squarespace)The User Experience and Interface (UX/UI)This is a simulcast event between the Greenwich Library and iHub / Sacred Heart University, Fairfield.

Meet the Speaker: An accomplished designer/artist, computer expert, and teacher, Jeff Seaver runs Seaver Interactive, a digital marketing and website design firm in Westport, CT, where he has been building websites and creating online content for over 25 years.  A volunteer leader with Fairfield County SCORE, Jeff also developed the digital marketing curricula for SCORE’S six-part workshop series, teaches at the graduate school level, and lectures widely on technology.
